it is most likely because you spawned with a rifle using a saber bayonet and then picked up a rifle using a socket bayonet that causes this. It's a technical limitation for now.

I spawned in as 9th New York private and the rifle it gave was the 1861 Springfield. I literally just recorded that video after joining the server and walking to the fire pit. Could it be that the server I was on prior to that was the CSA Drill camp where I had a rifle that used the saber bayonet?
