Syw dlc
People are smart and can learn. People buying this game want “play the period”, so they should expect some game rules forcing period tactics. Realistic shooters are like that.
But they must have...
Exactly! It is even more reasonable to implement the respawn time penalty, because of players in formation: are you the last one in formation during melee? Too bad, you should have retreated - hereby...
There is plethora of options. The number of hours played, the number of victorious "matches" attended, killed XY enemies by gunfire, killed XY enemies by melee, etc. Any other stuff, that is usually...
This is where I rarely disagree with Poorlaggedman. The officer class is important to provide proper feel or "immersion"; it would be just very strange to be commanded by someone with private avatar....
I love when it comes to the cliché "this isn't a 'simulator', it's a game" :) It is the same since the Day of Defeat times and yet it is proven, that games can be more and more "simulation" and still...
Honestly, I dislike the OP idea. I really like that WoR achieves kind of historical behaviour of players by gameplay rules, so we do formations voluntarily because we benefit from them. Please, do...
+1 to this!
Because of immersion. If cosmetics are not important, why to have so many accurate uniforms, weapons, etc.?
I agree, that only private class should be affected by current balance feature OR change...
I tried today another approach and I must admit, that the autobalance feature is not that bad - instead of changing to USA after death, I was waiting a few seconds to get the CSA poster to be...
I saw the sensitivity in "we might as well also take away morale amount difference, capture areas, map boundaries, timers and the formation buff system"
It looks like a fallacy to me. But OK - I...
I apologise if it was too offensive, it was not meant to be - I am sharing my feedback, there is no need for good old strawman. The "gamey" features like capture the point, map boundaries and timers...
I do not believe, that increasing the "unbalanced" allowance from 10 to 15 will help. Yes, it would be slightly better, but the issue persists.
The whole idea of balancing the numbers is wrong:...
To be honest, the autobalance is causing more trouble than help. Such a gamey feature is having so much attention, sad.
It is annoying to cancel the reload at the very end of the process to resume the whole process again. Segmented reloading would be a nice addition.
I know it is not “perfectly” balanced - please, do not take it literally. Although it is not balanced “perfectly”, the feature forcing you to switch sides in the middle of the battle is annoying at...
It seems the auto-balance feature works as anticipated:( stubborn insisting on perfectly balanced teams (instead of introducing some penalties and bonuses to unbalanced teams) may cause loss of some...
Your “advice” is nearly impossible in game as it should be - charge/melee in real battle is not a parade ground excercise. Even the best veteran units failed to charge in order and melee was...
During a discussion about morale, autosurrender and unrealistically high frequency of melee in WoR at the moment (in this thread:...
No need to apologise - it is natural that people disagree:) And, please, do not feel offended. Anyway, I do not have "all the facts", I have my opinion about 18-19c warfare by studying the period,...
For me, more realism = more fun :) so, no - unreal "stabbing everyone" in suicide charge is no fun for me... or at least not as is now.
No, people will not learn anything - they will suicide...
The chaos in melee is right and seems realistic, but again: melee should be chaotic, but RARE. Weak, shaken unit should fail to charge home and the charge should be repulsed; on the other hand weak...
I know the game well, the idea of “visual check” is to make animation of looking at the ammo pouch and writing the ammo remaining (or not writing anything when the graphics can tell the information).
Red Orchestra and Escape from Tarkov - these two games I really love! (not playing RO anymore & very disappointed by RO2)
Yes, this kind of ammo check would be nice and realistic. You feel how...
Unfortunatelly, I have to agree:( but is there a better solution?
