    The Civil War Weapon Thread!

As the title suggests this thread is for us to discuss the many weapons used during the Civil War.

What are some of your favourites and why?

    What are the weirdest?

    What was the most deadly?

Which one sucks in design and why?

    Lets discuss!!!

I love the 1851 Colt Navy. Perfect lines!

We have one right between Fancy's and my desk so it's in our field of vision pretty much all of the time while we're at the office.

One of the more odd looking is the Savage 1861 Navy revolver. Appearently a great piece to use, but horrid to look at. :P

The Sharps M1859, Whitworth and M1841 Mississippi rifles are very appealing to me also.

An odd one would be the Beaumont-Adams double-action revolvers.

Did we just become best friends??

    I absolutely adore that gun.

I also like the 1851(?) Remington and Le Matt revolvers. (I want the Le Matt for self defense because why not)

Oh I know, I wasn't saying that you had forgotten it literally, it was more so a figure of speech.

The Henry is cool since it became the Winchester, the rifle that became one of symbols of Americana.

My favourite is the Smith Carbine, It looks awesome, And it's fast to load and is break action, And I love break action guns.

Favourite melee weapons are Bowie Knife, 1840 NCO Sword and the US Navy's Model M1860 Cutlass.

Deadliest of the War was probably the Napoleon 12 Pounder Cannon because they seem to have been the most used cannons. And probably Enfields and Springfield of different types because they were the most widely used so they would have caused the most casualties.

Favourite Pistol is the Kerr Patent Revolver. And the Remington Revolver.

And the 1832 Artillery sword is kind of cool looking too, That along with the Kerr Patent Revolver would also go as some of the weirdest looking ones.
