    Kriegsspiel

How familiar are you folks with Kriegsspiel?

Kriegsspiel is the original war game, developed in 1812 by the Prussian Army to train officers.

As it happens, I run Kriegsspiel games both live in-person and by email. Would anyone here be interested in participating in such a game by email, possibly the battle of Antietam?

You don't need to worry about learning any rules, since you already know them!

Express interest or post questions below and if enough of you wish to get a game going, I'll put in the work for you.

To be honest, I've never heard of them/it till a few days ago. Set me up in email and lets see what happens.

    Here's some basic info:

There's a lot out there, but not many people who do it, because it is expensive and requires a lot of work.

    Labor of love!

It's insanely cool. I run games in Los Angeles three times per year and I have more people showing up each time.

It might be a fun way to pass time as we wait for the next WoR update. :-)

    Yes, it'll be ACW.

Message your friends, I'll find a map to use.

Post your emails below, or PM me your email address and your preferred side, Union or Confederate.

I will need to develop a scenario and an OOB, then folks can pick the commands they want.

Preferably PM your emails. I don't think we want or need a whole mess of emails public. (Just a suggestion however.)
