    24/40 would become a wash. Union would bayonet charge, losing at the maximum 24 people before they're over the bridge. Added into the already lopsided tickets, spawns, and play areas, this creates an extremely uneven and potentially disastrous map. Keep the current spawns, tickets, and play areas, but five the Confederates their fortifications.

    I have to disagree just on the purpose of sheer numbers. Granted, taking the rambo style of some of the players at the moment, would likely result in what you describe, but when the historical numbers were approximately 500 vs. 12000, I find it hard to believe that 24 vs. 40 would be an unacceptable expectation. It would be even less so if the CSA side were given their rifle pits and breastworks. But even without, there's likely sufficient cover on the hill for 24 Rebels to fend off 40 Yanks. Play style has a lot to do with it, and when Campfire starts to implement bonus' and penalties for tactics, it will likely balance itself out more.
