    As an Irishman, I can't exactly give an opinion on potatoes.

    Apparently in the Supreme Court case Nix v. Hedden, tomatoes and any other grown crops that are grown and eaten in a manner of a vegetable (including potatoes) are to be legally taxed and sold as vegetables regardless of their biological classification. The supreme court actually addresses this. A perfect use for our justice system. The more you know.

    aha, So in America Potatoes are vegetables legally, But technically they are still Fruits.
