    The way the developers have weapons distribution, is exactly how it was in the ACW. The only nco to get blades were first sergeants and up. No one below that rank in the infantry. Now cavalry was a different story.

    A Sergeant Major have Sword and Pistol but the 1st Sergeant only has a rifle

    Yeah, it's only the Sergeant Major that has a sword, the 1st Sergreant doesn't.

    None of the sergeants was issued pistols.

    If a NCO draw his "sword" he can just hold his musket in the left hand. Not in any way a problem in real life...

    I would really prefer for there to be a choice and not have the poor SgtMaj forced the have a sword and pistol with no rifle.
