    Yes... but outgoing and incoming fire ... there's a big difference. The bullets leaving the muzzle of a non-hostile barrel near you aren't going to do much for you. If anything, they might help. The easiest way to simulate the effect of enemy fire would be by differentiating the two and chocking friendly fire up to the exception. Just like there's a message for friendly kills and not enemy ones.
