October 12th will mark 147 years since General Robert E. Lee's death.

Robert E. Lee was of course a leading General of the Confederate States Army, and was offered the position of leading the U.S. Army instead, but denied the offer for fear of fighting his home state.

If anyone has a Confederate flag, Government or Battle Flag, and isn't afraid to fly it, this Wednesday and Thursday would be a good opportunity to do so, in remembrance of one of America's greatest generals.

Stonewall Jackson was still better TBH.

Quick side note that might spark some discussion, was anyone else aware that Robert E. Lee was the step-great-grandson-in-law of George Washington, as well as descended from King Charles II through Lady Charlotte Lee? Talk about Royal blood.
