    Visibility

Having talked to a few people I have concluded that there is an epidemic of near-sightedness among the soldiers of War of Rights.
I have had reports of people not being able to, at 100m, distinguish an enemy soldier from a tree until that supposed tree suddenly opened fire on them.
And that, I believe, is something trees normally don't do while they are people around.

    On a more serious note:
For quite some time I have been annoyed at the blur I have to endure when trying to identify objects or players at roughly 100m or more.
This becomes especially aggravating when this impediment causes me to shoot a team mate at a range at which it should be easy to tell blue from grey.
Now, I know that I have 20/20 vision so my eyes aren't causing the issue.

I'd like to know whether you guys have the same issue and your opinions on the matter.
Personally I wish for better visibility.

Vision should be perfect at 70 yards or so. You should be able to figure friend from foe at 110 yards after a few seconds, and then visibility rapidly drops off after that. Just for a still fairly unrealistic sense of realism, though itd be better than what it is now.

Sure it was the tree who shot and not the Red Panda in it ?

I recognise it. Most of the skirmishes don't exactly take place at "long range" and yet I often find myself wishing for a spyglass or what not; or firing at nothing but puffs of smoke in the distance.

Turn off the dynamic depth of field for some more sharpness.

We only have so many pixels to work with at distances so that will always be an issue - unless we want to limit other objects heavily for the characters to stand out from them.

We're currently using the best AA option of CRYENGINE 5.3 short of supersampling. CRYENGINE 5.4 brings updated AA features that will help us (hopefully) to sharpen up things quite a bit more.

Why do you think people used company flags back then?
