I just thought I would share some pics of the only TWO known original 1st USSS uniforms in existence, The first one is owned by the Smithsonian the second is owned by a private collection.

These are very awesome uniforms. The cool part is I showed the devs these. When they released the USSS unit the coats were pretty light colored. Once I showed them these they made them darker!!! Awesome dev team, I am glad I could mod for them

Since my military days were over 50 years ago my guess would be my uniforms would look to be in the same condition.

Indeed. The pants were usually always a lighter color though. They changed the color of the Frocks they were using in game because I posted these.

very beautiful coats, still got its color after all these years.
Maybe the worn look we have ingame is a little bit to much.
Read an interview, that stated that the decolorization of the coats seen in reenactments is misleading,
because the colors used on cheaper coats, can be cheap artificial and chemical color that pales easily, and looks grey after some seasons.
At the time of the civil war, the colors that was used to color fx. the coats would keep its color for many many years.
