    Captured Flags

Heres an idea for yall, A yankee company crosses burnside bridge, with them is a flag bearer. the union charges up the hill and gets slaughtered, not one is left. What if the CSA could pick up the flag, witch will give the enemy a pentaly, like a respawning delay or somthing? any other ideas?

I think it wouldn't be that bad of an idea to let enemies capture a flag, even if it would be a detriment to them, because they lost it, no way around it. It would add some much needed opportunities to test a unit's skill by having their formation take into account protecting the colors. If a flag gets captured, yeah that sucks, but we got through this game for quite a while without flags.

Yes but it'll also make it very easy for trolls (or disgruntled autoswitchees) to severely disrupt a team. Running off with it and dying can already be that, no need to make it worse. They could be another thing to add into the final result screen though.

What PLM said. And though I don't mean to be rude, I believe that the devs answered this concern before, and stated that flags will not be able to be picked up by the opposing team.

If you only worry what trolls can do to mess things up.... Nah you should deal with trolls differently then bend your game so they can not do much, because in the end that will limit the normal players.

How about having the team losing the flag lose some tickets?

    That's the ticket

Now this is a damn good idea. Incentives, not penalties.
