I really don't think they are shooting smokeless powder. Doing so in a blackpowder firearms is dangerous and Iam pretty sure against their rules.

Using smokeless powder in a muzzleloader will destroy it, and most likely harm the shooter, or someone around them.

I have a question for the devs, where did you get the recordings used in-game? Are they recordings of live firing with military loads?

They sound pretty good to me though they do need some variations in sound, especially for different rifles like the whitworth, mississippi, etc.

Speaking of the whitworth, are you planning on adding a different sound to the bullet when it passes by you? I know they had a very distinctive sound.

They employed a sound designer. He would be the one to ask. Rez makes appearances on the forum every once and a while.

Bullet whizzes have been a part of the game since the release of the Technical Alpha.

I agree that should be added but I don't think it's something that should be overdone. I guess I am saying it shouldn't be too loud and it shouldn't be too quiet.

Kiff, you've owned the game for quite a while and attended many events. You should know that sound effect has been in the game for a long time.
