Will it be possible to hold a sword with the left hand and a revolver in the right hand? Slash and Shoot!

No, he is a Sergeant Major with a revolver. But he does not have a sword there ;)

Wasn't the sword more for representative issues ? oder using it for giving the directions while marching ?

Ah k. I only noticed that he had a sword and later he shot you :p

@soulfly

yes. even in the Napoleonic era was the sword in the firstly a status sign. of course it's helpful in melee but first it was a symbol.

some southern officers didn't wear their sword because they feared the snipers. I think some union officers did that too

That's a good idea just needs to be balanced maybe the pistol has less accuracy when you have a sword in your hand

I always through he was a Quartermaster Sergeant because his chevrons were so flat at the top :/

Doesn't make much sense to reduce accuracy. Though he wouldn't be able to reload seeing his other hand is occupied.

I agree, accuracy wouldn't be hindered since a revolver is usually fired one handed anyways, but reloading would. Neat idea though.
