I've been watching the Game-play videos and something I've noticed is the Rag-dolls seem a bit unnatural:

Hit effects seem a bit exaggerated and:

Rag-dolls stay holding onto their Guns

is this intentional or is it something that's going to be worked on before the release?

I believe it is just placeholder animations as of now. I do agree they look a bit funky ;) But I also remember vaguely someone bringing this up before, and I do think they will be touched up in the future.

i think they will of course change it. now its only a pre alpha. ;)

Most things in this trailer are placeholders and will get better/replaced during the development.

I hope there are proper ragdolls so when people are hit by cannons an aren't completely vaporised they go flying so another line of guys might be marching along and then get rained on by bodies

HOWEVER, on a further note. I do hope you're not all worried about how a person dies when shot mortally. It is nothing like you see in Hollywood movies. And since cannon do not exist yet at this point and in these previews, yes, there should be physical repelling when shot by artillery. Not so much with a rifle.

Will there be anything in the way of Gore like dismemberment?

I think if done correctly it can add to Games but most just go completely OTT with it (Like RO2) where most of the time it just looks ridiculous ::

Sometimes it can add to the Game, but the system they have is so Glitchy and sensitive that more often than not it just looks stupid.
