The Harvard Regiment Company B

A Brief History - The Real 20th

The 'Harvard Regiment', 20th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry, a regiment in the Army of the Poltomac, formed by young Harvard graduates at Readville on August 29 to September 4, 1861. Due to the large amount of Harvard graduates, both in officer and enlisted ranks, the regiment was dubbed the Harvard Regiment. The 20th was involved in almost all major engagements of the civil war with exception of the First Bull Run.

The boys from Harvard were at Seven Days Battles, Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville, Gettysburg, the Wilderness, Spottsylvania Court House the Siege of Petersburg and the Appomattox Campaign. In doing so the regiment suffered a total of 409 casualties, 238 of which occurred at Fredericksburg. In total the regiment suffered the fifth highest of any Union Regiment.

The Company

'B' Company of the Harvard Regiment intends to be an active, large and involved company in the War of Rights community. Gathered, at least initially, from the Australian Mount & Blade: Napoleonic Wars community, with members with experience in the 3rdRoF, 9thVGR, 6thLG, 4thRWF, 69thVGL, 95thRoF and VR; this company has a great depth of knowledge when it comes to working in a structured military realism, role-play style community.

The Company is open to all players, but as it is based in the Oceanic region it is preferred that members are also from this region. The Company B of the Harvard Regiment will strive to follow the realistic structure and tactics of the civil war whilst fostering a welcoming regiment with a unique culture.

Certainly looking forward to this! However The text in your post, Conroy, is skewed off the screen and the image is pretty much all I can see.

AU/NZ. What is the time difference between each other and the East coast US

If I did my math correctly, Australia is 14 hours ahead of EST, but AU also has 13 different time zones. NZ is 2 hours ahead of AU, but depends on the time zones really.

Lance it's very rude to recruit on someone else's thread and I advise you not to. Your obviously new to the community I'm guessing but my suggestion is you refrain from recruiting hopeful applicants on another persons thread, it's very insulting towards them. Just some advice mate.

Hey Jackson,

I apologize, I meant no disrespect. Thank you for correcting me. My thought process was that if they were inactive, I would invite him as a fallback option for him. I should have done so privately. My sincere apologies.

Cheers
