Made these with my own bare hands... pixel by pixel, hour by hour. If any of you are interested in my TS/Forum ranks, you are more than welcome to use them. All I ask is that you give the 1st Battalion of Virginia credit somewhere on your forum post :)

Oh very nice lad cracking job.

Got question for you guys, I've found that Mississippi had their own rank markings pictured below however were they used in the units attached to the anv or just in the state? Also if they were used can they be added in game and anyone with skills make them haha

I will attempt both of these - have yet to touch Officer Ranks - will be working on Artillery and Cavalry ranks first however, seeing as it'll most likely benefit more people on the Confederate side of the community. I believe that those rank insignia's were primarily, if not solely, for Confederate State Militias whom rarely left their home state.

Well, the military insignia encyclopedia does say that those were for the Volunteer Forces of South Carolina, but whatever you think, your the one making these. :D Good luck!

Most definitely!

NOTE TO EVERYONE: I have been having some personal things going on within my life, as well as an unexpected move (as in, I need to move all my shit somewhere else). So life hasn't been too kind the past week or so. I will get back to making these as soon as I am fully settled (should be the next week or so.) Then on with requests!

I need a regiment. I am a new user and I'm totally lost. need help with an experienced soldier. Please help.

I would suggest going firstly to the company thread list in order to find any specific regiment that already exists and within what continent:
http://www.warofrightsforum.com/showthread.php?1543-Company-List

And I would also suggest going here as you can advertise yourself as well as see the companies that are advertising as well:

Also, welcome to the forum :)

Are there any special artillery ranks

For the most part, all ranks carried across all land based organizations. That said, both artillery and cavalry had ranks known as farriers, blacksmiths, and artificers. All these ranks were non combatants, same as quartermaster sergeants.

The differences of course would be in the thread colors: cyan/lt. blue for infantry, red for artillery, and yellow/gold for cavalry.
