This is for my artillery folks out there so vote up and we shall see who wins!

I can add more types of cannons and maybe we can have a shot Poll if we get atleast 50 votes!

Let me take the 20 pounder Parrot with shell or the 3inch.
Nothing can beat those 2 ;)

(in north and south)

my rankers say that howitzers are horrible, although who doesn't like loading explosive shells

+1 for howitzers for me

Artillery in Mount and Blade is god awful. A bit unfair to compare that at all :P

I hope it's as useful as in Games like Napoleon: Total War (Sometimes its too useful and you have to limit it or its just an Arty Spam fest) but even when its presence is minimal (like 6-12lber cannons only) they can still turn the tide of a battle with good placement and Canister Shot.

I always use this as the French.

From my understanding artillery will be pretty realistic, so I think it will be deadly but it may take time to be good at it.

id take a 200 pounder Parrott.... But idk much about arty and 200 pounder parrot could be terrible so id take a 12 pounder Napoleon.

I suppose I'd be picky and look at what I'm using the piece for. If Canister/Shell Howitzer. for Range I'd go with a 20 Pounder Parrot, and late war counter battery definately a whitworth if I could find one.

They had whitworths at Sharpsburg as far as I know, but I think only the south used them.

Just two that I am aware of. I can't recall the units at this time however.

You sir, are correct it looks like they had only two both in Confederate batteries. Hardaway's (AL) Battery / Sumter (GA) Artillery, Battery E each had one.
