I have never been a huge fan of the civil war but this game and NaS have really kickstarted my intrest in it.So i thought why not give it a go :p

That's great! Didn't know you create 3D models as well! I think the top flat bit of the cap is too big. Take a look at this picture:

12

It get quite a bit smaller in the top. Keep up the great work, would love to see more. :)

There is a lot of pictures of different styles of this hat, for instance this one:

13

The general shape of the hat is a lot more pointy like and sort of aggressive.

14

Would be very nice if you could make the "foldings" in the cloth a bit more visible as well :)

Update
Enfield rifle.
First firearm i have completed, pretty proud of it but it is still a WIP. :)

Still needs to be polished up a bit and a few bits and bobs added but apart from that its pretty much done.

;D Cool. I bet Fancy's got some advice about that. He's been through quite a lot of versions on his way learning to model. :) Looking forward to the next update!

Yeah not bad :p, but you should propably make the last ring on the barrel a bit smaller. Propably add a few extra polys to the stock and ease it out a bit, instead of having that sharp corner at the bottom of the stock :p. Perhaps make the wood look a bit more smooth too. I'm not sure which program you're using, but in 3Ds Max you would assign different smoothing groups. The trigger guard looks a bit thick as well :p

Oh and a quick question since i dont want to make a thread about it,does this forum intend to use forum ranks?
Because i have seen the Dev and Admin ranks but none for us common people.

Looks a little like a shovel to me :D but so does this http://www.gatling-gun.com/images/Matchlock_22.jpg so good job anyway, looks neat, but still, could use a bit of work especially in the back! Try to make it look a little more like this:- http://www.militaryheritage.com/images/matchlock2.jpg and you could get alot better results visually!

I've been Practicing, also thought its a good idea to revive this thread. It helps the community's creative juices.
