View Full Version : Wildlife Suggestion

I have a suggestion that would be a very small detail in the game, but a very cool one. Could Ivory Billed Woodpeckers be in the game? I know wildlife will be somewhat in the game but I would love to see/hear an Ivory Billed Woodpecker while marching through the woods or through the fields. They were in the Sharpsburg area during that time and they are a beautiful bird. I have an interest in birds as well as the Civil War, lol. If you can get them in the game that would be great, but if not I understand.

We have recently added random birds in the sky - and yes, they are killable if your aim is good enough. :)

As long as they predict the correct weather I have no problem with them.

Yea, but some troll regiments may do nothing but shoot at the birds in game.

Judging from the amount of time it takes to reload, as well as the very low chance of actually hitting the bird, trolls will probably find bird hunting boring sooner or later :)

Beside if you're busy firing off your rounds at birds then you'll be making a lot of noise. Some enemy regiment will come and find you and make sure your bird shooting days come to an end.

The we could take a 12 pounder and take out a herd of Deer in one shot, and have good eatin'!

XD That is one freaked out deer. But yeah, you were right. That reenactment is beautiful!

I also just noticed that around 7:30 in that video, a union bugler it looked like tripped over a "dead" union soldier on the retreat and started apologizing like crazy. Good stuff right there.

The presence of birds (sky or ground) is crucial to make the game more realistic and beautiful. Also, see some killable chickens, pigs, horses, walking around farms would be awesome!

It actually be interesting to see some wild boars or even domesticated pigs devouring some corpses.... Don't judge me XD
