21st North Carolina Company
The Real-Life Unit

21st Infantry Regiment, formerly the 11th Volunteers, was a twelve company command organized at Danville, Virginia, in June, 1861. Men of this unit were recruited in Davidson, Surry, Forsyth, Stokes, Rockingham, and Guilford counties. It was assigned to General Trimble's, Hoke's, Godwin's, and W.G. Lewis' Brigade. After taking part in the Battle of First Manassas and Jackson's Valley operations, the 21st participated in many conflicts of the army from the Seven Days' Battles to Bristoe. It was then involved in the engagements at Plymouth, Drewry's Bluff, and Cold Harbor, marched with Early to the Shenandoah Valley, and saw action around Appomattox.
The unit sustained 80 casualties at First Winchester, 13 at Cross Keys and Port Republic, 45 during the Seven Days' Battles, 51 at Groveton, 18 at Sharpsburg, and 24 at Fredericksburg. It lost 78 at Chancellorsville, twenty-eight percent of the 436 at Gettysburg, and 52 at Plymouth. In April, 1865, it surrendered with 6 officers and 117 men of which 40 were armed. The field officers were Colonels Saunders Fulton, B.Y. Graves, James M. Leach, Rufus K. Pepper, William S. Rankin, and William L. Scott; and Majors James F. Beall, Alex. Miller, W.J. Pfohl, and J.M. Richardson.

21st North Carolina Company A
War of Rights

We are a small group who are trying to make a fun, and yet disciplined company. Our rank structure isn’t strict, and it is not meant to be recreate a military all the time. However, in combat, we follow the chain of command, and work as a unit. We are looking for more people with like minds. If you are worried that you don’t have any experience to join a company, don’t worry. We have some basic training and commands to help you out, and to eventually make you, at least somewhat, a competent recruit. We have about two training days each week, and do one event with Ewell's Division on the weekends. We are specifically looking for more Americans in our second platoon, but we are open to pretty anybody who has a good mindset.

To join, or to receive more details, add 21st.NC(A)]Cpt.Vaesen (http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198037722245/) on steam.
See you on the battlefield!

I'd love to join this battalion, as I was born and raised in North Carolina. I also had family die for the Confederacy and my father and brother are members of "Sons of the Confederacy". One of my ancestors is Eli R. Eury from the 42nd Regiment North Carolina Infantry - C Company (M230 Roll 12) (https://www.nps.gov/civilwar/search-soldiers-detail.htm?soldierId=33FC279B-DC7A-DF11-BF36-B8AC6F5D926A)

I am in the War of Rights closed Alpha, so I could start to play with the group immediately. My background in FPS games goes all the way back to the days of DOS (pre-Windows 95), with games like Jedi Knight Dark Forces, Doom, Wolfenstein, etc. I am a former IT lead for multiple companies, including Lowe's HQ and North Carolina State Government, specializing in hardware.

I ran my first FPS clan in 2003 for the first COD game (the only one I liked from that series, ever). I am a website owner and author, specializing in audio. I have been a forum moderator for a half dozen sites over the years including Guru3D, VideoCardz.com, Thirdgen.org, XtremeSystems, etc.

Please let me know if there is something I should read before joining, like if there is a sign up document or similar. BTW, I volunteered in the company tool already.
