I don't see a separate LFG area of the forums. If I missed it and this is in the wrong spot I apologize.

I'm looking for a mature group thats disciplined with an apprecation for the historical element of the game. Established structure and membership. I'm an older guy, 38, with a family and work significant hours but I can usually get on every night.

The CSA seems much more organized than Union. Looking to join a group to challenge them.

42nd Pennsylvania Bucktails, 72nd Pennsylvania, and 9th New York I would suggest looking into. All of them are decent companies/battalions with sizes that can match the confederates on good days.

Thanks Saris!

Praetor, the groups Saris mentioned is part of the Eagle Brigade. Check out our forum post: https://www.warofrightsforum.com/showthread.php?5297-Eagle-Brigade
Within that forum page, there are links in the second post to the individual company forum posts.

Mainly units for those who like playing games in their pajamas is my guess. ;)

If you want something more regular take a look at the 95thNY or 42ndPA from the EB.

I actually don't see any of these groups on the Company list of the main site?

Ahh... go to Company Tool and then search by "Army Branch" where you'll select Infantry, "State", and "Regiment" and it will narrow down your choices. The 42nd is a fine choice BTW. They will typically get someone in touch with you rather quickly that can walk you through anything else you have questions about.

Yeah you would join off the company tool.

The 95th is easy: https://www.warofrights.com/CT_ViewCompany?companyID=217#companyToolHeader

The 42nd is known by two numbers under the Company Tool; at the time of Antietam they go by the name of 13th Pennsylvania Reserves and they have two companies within the company tool:
Company F: https://www.warofrights.com/CT_ViewCompany?companyID=35#companyToolHeader
Company E: https://www.warofrights.com/CT_ViewCompany?companyID=2907#companyToolHeader
