Jumping into a game when it suits me,I find is more my style. Attaching to a Faction and Unit then following orders is more enjoyable to me than Company membership.
No time constraints or suffering tyrants.

It might not be popular to say but ...
Everyone is different and Conformity is not necessarily a great trait.
There are good and bad people everywhere and Units/Organizations, are no different.
Find what gives you fun and happiness, as long as it doesn't injure others.

I can only speak for the one I was part of which was 1st TX Co. F. They're the best. Couldn't tell you about northern units.
