Depends on how well the early tests such as Skirmishes phase 1, which we hope to have out within six months if funded, goes.

"Done" is a relative term, as the Devs said they will continue to improve and move forward to the next battle.

When its ready, I would rather have a delayed good game than a rushed one faster.

We agree on that.

I want to buy this game but I'm afraid my laptop wouldn't handle it, any idea of the specs so far?

No, other than requiring a DX11 card.
You're likely shit out of luck on a laptop.

If you can run games like Crysis 3 and Far Cry 3 or 4, then you should be in the clear I imagine. ;)

If you can provide a specs list of your laptop, then I or someone else can probably tell you your chances of running it.

Well I never tried Crysis 3 or FarCry 4 but with FarCry 3 I played with no problems, frame drops here and there but nothing extreme.

Intel i7 3630QM 2.40Ghz (max: 3.40Ghz)
Nvidia 635m 2Gb
6Gb Ram
Windows 10

Hmm... I don't know much about laptops. Since you can run Far Cry 3 relatively well, I would say you have a pretty good chance of running WoR, however there is really no way of knowing for sure without a system requirements list.

Someone else with more knowledge on laptop gpu's could probably help you more.

Here's a point to consider. Doesn't matter how fast your computer is .... you're only ever going to be as fast as the slowest server you have to route through on the internet. :D

Well, the servers will have an effect like all servers do, but you still need to have good enough hardware to even play the game at all :p

Expect full complete game to take at least a year, probably two. Closed beta will be open in 8-10 if there's no real big problems with the alphas. Kickstarted media releases won't happen in a fortnight ;) I'm still waiting for my GGTMC edition hartbox of Final Score, it got funded 2 years ago:
