Something cool that I have is a history of the unit that was written by a veterans and was distributed to the people that attended one of their reunions in the early 1900's. I can't remember the exact year of the reunion and I'm not home right now but I can post stuff from it later if anyone is interested.

William McBride:

A Canadian trapped within the confines of the American south after visiting his brother for a year in 1860. He tried multiple times to cross over to the north in 1861 - but found it rather difficult because of the growing hostility between the North and South. After weeks of struggling to survive, and with little money left in his coin purse - William was approached by his brother, and was asked to sign up and fight for the south. Seeing no other option that would bring him north, William accepted.

Now he stands in line for recruitment of the 11th Mississippi - will you take him, and bring him one step closer to returning to his home country?

If you donate Brigadier-General, you will get the 11th Mississippi Infantry Co. A "University Greys" Uniform.

I'm afraid this is incorrect. The Lamar Rifles wore the classic uniform more than any other company I have been able to find. The University Greys were mainly that, grey. There are members of many different Mississippi companies and regiments with the uniform or a variant of the uniform. This is because early in the war, the State of Mississippi had guidelines for a uniform consisting of the red trim and 8 chest bars for infantry. (Instead of the blue.) The soldiers who's families could afford the nice uniform had it.

Here is a link to some of my research, the Co. G "Lamar Rifles" in all their glory!

As for why Co G. Lamar Rifles had so many of these sexy uniforms, it had to do with them being a local militia, preparing for the looming war since December of 1860.

So the question is will those that did not donate brig gen and above get a uniform that is similar to the one that us higher tiers pledged?

I'm not sure how the devs will work around that. It is the sexy uniform they were known for, but I doubt many during the battle wore it.
They could just have all the 11thMS units look similar to this-
3128

Or the devs could just make them look worn out and patchy from use. You will notice other units receiving some nice uniforms (as shown below), so I'm just not sure how they'll make the 11th Mississippi uniform. I do think it would be nice to have uniforms for the different regiments look more unique as to more easily identify units on the field.

North Carolina, Tar Heels-

Texas, 1st/4th/5th Texas Infantry-

Reminder! Training 8EST today with 11thMS Co.G in WoR! All are welcome to attend. We will be going over basic drills of the time. Be sure to have your game up to date before training begins as the devs have been updating daily since the Cryengine V release. Try to get on half an hour in advance as we begin 8EST on the dot. Look forward to seeing y'all there.
