Biography:

Captain Tar Heel McRusty [1stNC(Co.I)]

My family was one of the first to immigrate to the New World from England in the 17th Century, and originally landed and settled in Virginia before moving further South into North Carolina. I inherited much forested land from my father's estate and have since turned it into a profitable turpentine, pitch, and tar manufacturing facility which could now be used to further the Southern cause.

We are receiving reports that North Carolinian soldiers are commonly referred to by the pejorative nickname "Tar Heel" by their fellow Patriots on account of their propensity to valiantly stand their ground while soldiers from more "oily states" are quick to turn tail and run. My intentions are to lead a regiment of my fellow North Carolinians in their brave defense of their homeland against this terrible onslaught of Yankee Aggression.
