Georgia declared its secession from the Union on January 19, 1861, and was one of the original seven Confederate states.(( seen as one of the first it is also one of the last. Georgia became the last Confederate state to be restored to the Union.))
On Shinbone Ridge in The Appalachian Mt range. dirty with the sweat, and sod of the earth. Even poor farmers can head the call to defend their rights, home, and country. Gathering his things and joining the many others leaving there farms, and families to join up to fight for the call of freedom.
