There will always be idiotic leaders. Having the officer unlocked means they have some experience under their belt, and are less likely to be stupid.

This is a good assessment of the situation, which is why I think what would be better for the time being is if you had to unlock the officer. If the officer is unlocked, the system can't be abused...

I agree, we need more than temp ban, we need perm bans. Also another idea is make it harder to kill team mates, like 2 shots for example.
