Point noted, but it would be a safe bet to say the situation is typical in the southern companies as well. Just stating that the pool to draw members leans heavier for the Union. Which is completely fine by me ... because as we all know the north always had more men at any one given time than the southern forces, so I'm not too worried about it.
Are the plans for or will there be a War/Campaign mode like in Heroes and Generals? (like Players pick a side at the start of the Campaign and play that team for the duration) with a Commander Deploying forces and choosing where they fight next and what resources they're assigned.
Ill fight for Southern independence, and of course do all I can to conduct my share in whacking as many bluecoated NCOs and officers as possible together with the 10 great folks under my command
