    10th Louisiana Infantry, Co. A.

    Co. A, 10th Louisiana Infantry

The 10th in the Civil War:
The 10th was assembled at Camp Moore in Virginia, in the early summer months of 1861, it moved to Virginia shortly after. They wore zouave uniforms and most of the members where foreigners: Italians, Greeks, Spaniards, Irish. (Here,in WoR we don´t care where you are from, as long as you can speak English, know how to follow orders, and want to have fun).

    Battles:

    1862:
The first battle they fought was on July 1st: The Battle of Malvern Hill. LtCol. Waggaman led a charge by the 10th that broke through the Union infantry to the artillery line, before being pushed back.
From August 28th to the 30th, they were involved in the second battle of Manassas (Bull Run). On September 18th they fought on the Battle of Sharpsburg under Captain Henry D. Monier. After that, they didn´t saw major action until 1863.

    1863:
From May the 1st to the 4th they were in the Battle of Chancellorsville. Then, on June (from the 14th to the 15th) Battle of Stephenson’s Depot: were the brigade helped cut off the retreat of Union General Milroy’s army from Winchester, turning it into a rout and destroying his army. The 10th Louisiana and the 2nd Louisiana captured over 1,000 men. From July the 1st to the 3rd, the ´´known by everyone battle´´ Gettysburg.
After Gettysburg they had a ´´relaxed´´ year, but that ended on May 1864…

    1864:

On May they fought two battles: the Battle of the Wilderness and
Battle of Spotsylvania Court House. On June, another two:
The Battle of Cold Harbor and after that they joined the Early’s Shenandoah Valley Campaign. Now, on July the 9th the fought in the
Battle of Monocacy then on September: the Third Battle of Winchester and the Battle of Fisher’s Hill, to end off 1864, they fought on the Battle of Cedar Creek.

    1865:
Their last major battle was the Battle of Hatcher’s Run, from February the 5th to the 7th, and after that, well, I’m pretty sure you know your history...

    The 10th in-game:
The 10th is a company that will be made off people of all over the world, because it’s named the ´´Foreign Legion´´ it doesn't mean that you have to be to join it, if you are from the US you are welcome as well. The orders in the 10th were given in French, here we will give them in English. We are looking for capable members, that will follow the chain of command when asked to, since we will be RP oriented, and that want to have a good time!

The founding members of the 10th:
We are a small group of players that have known each other for some years now. We have been members of both N&S and NW regiments in the past. We are an international group of people, based in the EU, our timezone is GMT. If you are looking for an international company (we are EU), you have come to the right place.
