The year 2020 was a turbulent one. Many of us will remember it as the year of profound changes and who knows what the history books will write about the past 12 months.
We as a community have also experienced many ups and downs this year and have not been spared from the problems of our members or deep conflicts and shortcomings in War of Rights, even on our virtual fronts. We started 2020, as we did years before, with a low in the morale of the players and their communities. However, a glimmer of motivation and anticipation accompanied us for half a year until a new troop type saw the light of day on 07/14/2020; the artillery. In the blink of an eye, doubts and all justified criticism of War of Rights were forgotten and the players once again had goals worth striving for.
And on it went. Through the summer and the fall, constantly accompanied by HIOBSBOTS from all over the world. But even when the world went mad once in a while, officers, NCOs, AS WELL AS crews in our community stood together and supported each other. At the very least, they provided a place to forget the troubles of the world for a few hours. That is what distinguishes this force, even though it may be only virtual. A community that, despite all the evils, pursues a hobby or much more a passion.
Just in time for the first Advent, the crowning finale of the year, the sometimes biggest stumbling block in the development of War of Rights fell with the release of the long-awaited platform system. With that, we end this unfortunate year of 2020, full of hope and positive outlook, whether in virtual Maryland or at home in front of our screens.
I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
