    "Dieu Et Mon Droit"

Prime Minister David Lloyd George would like to address his people regarding the statement of his former accomplice, Former Prime Minister Asquith: "Hail to you all in the United Kingdom and the dominions! We have been put in desperate times, and desperate times call for desperate measures. The enemy is at the gates! And we cannot let him be the one to destroy everything we as a proud nation have built of the hundreds of years that we have existed, whether as an empire or as a democracy. The British Nation must be put on the top of the national bucket list, as our number one priority to defend and be concerned about. If we ought to backlash against one another we are the helping hand of our enemy! We are the loose link. We, the British people just cannot allow ourselves to fight inside wars! Whether it be on the subject of full equality towards women or whether it be anything else, our country needs us, it needs its men, women, children, elderly, everyone! Wars are fought and lost with the power of fear. See Masada! The Israelites held rough and strong against the Roman aggressor, because they remained strong, because they remained together! Battles are won with brains, not swords! The B.E.F, our brave soldiers in the field of battle, are watching and weeping as our country as in turmoil. Help them return home safely. Allow this to happen!

The United Kingdom addresses its people.

Furthermore, on a diplomatic note, I know we have been late with the response; but we in The United Kingdom are disgusted by the actions that occurred in Berlin, by any of the parties. This should not be condoned at any level, anywhere, whether it be the most weakling or the strongest of man. Both of the involved parties' leaders, this is not an act of people. That is an act of bloody animals!

The United Kingdom condemns the actions in Berlin.

To our own men, be strong! War will be over soon. We will show for all that they had done to you. We will not forget your sacrifice.

The United Kingdom is attempting to raise the morale of its troops.

    Der Reichskanzler
    Neues Rathaus, Hannover

The German government is confused about the British statement
It is funny the Prime Minister should mention that wars are won with the brain, as it seems the gentlemen's is only of limited functionality. While we welcome the condemnation of these inhumane actions, it is not quite clear to us why the British government simultaneously insults German troops, even though they have inflicted heavy casualties on themselves by refusing to use ordnance weapons, in order to prevent civilian casualties. Does the Prime Minister mean to say both killing and saving civilians are acts of animals? Strange indeed! The British public would be well advised to wonder about the sanity of the freshly appointed PM, and whether he is able to execute the tasks coming with the office. The Kaiser has his doubts.

Karl Helfferich is appointed Vize-Reichskanzler and Reichsminister des Inneren
With previous Vize-Reichskanzler and Reichsminister des Inneren Clemens von Delbrück taking the role of Reichskanzler, these offices have to be assigned once more. Karl Helfferich has been appointed to these duties.

Germany hands out copies of the peace proposal refused by the Danish government to the Danish public in Copenhagen
It is important to the German government and the Kaiser that the Danish population is aware that the German Empire wishes them no harm and that it has in fact been trying to secure peace, hopes crushed by the incompetent Danish government that has now fled and left their soldiers and civilians to cover their retreat. It has therefore decided to hand out copies of the generous peace proposal that had been refused by the Danish government:

    Clauses
    - The Danish Forces capitulate. In recognition of their bravery in the defence of their homeland, they are granted all honours, meaning they are allowed to keep their weapons and go free
    - The Kingdom of Denmark withdraws from the Belgo-Dutch War
    - The German troops withdraw from Danish soil
    - All prisoners are released
    - The Kingdom of Denmark is going to demobilise to extended mobilisation as soon as German troops have left
    - The Kingdom of Denmark and the German Empire agree to not take part in hostile actions against each other by direct or indirect means
    - The Kingdom of Denmark remains an independent and sovereign state

The United Kingdom speaks against the new Reichskanzler's allegations.

Dear new Reichskanzler, welcome to the job. We hope you would bring a better future to Germany than your former. Now, your confusion seems kind of reasonable, as your manner is of a child. Prime Minister David Lloyd George apologizes for the mistakes he had made and means well to his counterpart bairn. If his Excellence would like, Prime Minister David Lloyd George can go down to said level, but he would rather not inflict IQ points off himself. Ignoring the Reichskanzler's juvenile behavior, his Excellency the Prime Minister says to the German volk: "While you starve for bread and shout for your boys to be back home, your government sends even more men to the fight, into the fray, and wasting more of your money on weapons. What would you rather, to win a war that has literally no gain for the German people, or would you rather weigh like a normal human being again?".

    Royaume de Belgique

The Belgian government enacts civilian rationing and takes austerity measures.
Shelters for displaced civilians are erected outside of the city of Mons.
The Belgian legislature and federal government relocate to Charleroi.

Prime Minister Charles de Broqueville signed into law a new regimen of national rationing, finally agreeing with Minister of the Interior Paul Berryer that such a course of action is needed. With Brussels under threat of occupation, previously cool members of parliament were forced to face the peril that the German army has brought with it. The fall of the Antwerp and Arlon regions have already alone displaced thousands who fled westward into the country. Another calculated initiative of Mr. Berryer was to install temporary camps around Mons to shelter those affected by the war.

Immediately after signing the rationing act, all federal officials left Brussels for Charleroi city hall, where government activities would continue as usual. The move, though unanimously agreed upon by legislature, did not convince King Leopold III. The young king, known for his fervor, refused to move to a safer location with the rest of government and saw it as an abandonment the Belgian people. Instead, he vowed to continue his residence in the Royal Palace of Brussels as long as he lived. Ever since the parliamentary move, Leopold could be seen every morning riding his horse down Rue Royale in a defiant display to the Belgian people that he isn't going anywhere.

The United Kingdom revokes its new rules on condition.

His Excellency, the new Prime Minister of the UK comes out with an announcement: "As much as the new rules procured by my former are important and needed, we need to put the benefit of the nation first before making any social reforms. With that in mind, the United Kingdom shall revoke its new rules of equality towards women, until further notice. This also means that the rules procured last month shall return to be part of our legislature after the war ends. This of course is done in mind to help bring the United Kingdom back together. Women, do not hesitate to help your nation and go work in the military industry! Your men need you more than ever. Signed,
David Lloyd George, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.
