    Excuse me for being a bit slow here.

    Everything I've checked says that the usually celebrated day is April 26th. Though some place celebrate it on different days. The 26th according to my reading was picked as it is the day that the last Confederate Army surrendered to a Union Command.

    So, question: Is it the 24th or the 26th?

    Because in Alabama it's on the last Monday of the month April which is on the 24th.
    That is why we host this event on this particular date. Or rather invite people to come online on this day.
