For the South and Cobb's Legion!
The conversion of Ewell's Division to II Corps was an emotionally painful logistical nightmare but well worth the effort.
Our Higher Command has set a tone that already shows great promise and improvement.
C Troop continues to await horses but adjusts to the ever-changing battlefield rules with great Honor and Creativity.
I applaud my Troopers and encourage all quality Southern Gentlemen to check our WoR forum thread, Troop forum, Troop website, Troop Steam group and Corps Steam group to see if you have a similar love and aptitude for Recon Cavalry.

Entering 2018
2017 saw ...
The creation of Cobb's Legion Company C (Georgia Cavalry)
Unit Muster by reaching 10 Troopers
The merger with our NC Sharpshooter Unit
Changes in both Leadership and Structure of our Higher Command
Awarding of Ribbons and a few, well earned, Promotions
Many Skirmish Victories and very few Defeats
While most of our Troopers won't be active in-game until BETA we encourage everyone to participate in the Troop Steam Group, Troop Forum and II Corps Steam Group.
2018 ...
We will patiently await our horses and gear
Continue to act as Skirmishers and Scouts for the Corps
Recruit only the best and most motivated
Put in the time, effort and work that it takes to be a cut above the rest ... The Cavalry!
It is our sincere desire that the new year and recent changes bring a new spirit to our Cause and Brethren.
Everyone is encouraged to play, over the Holidays, but the next organized Drill and Event will be in January.
We wish everyone a wonderful and safe time off and hope we all return recharged and ready to take the Yanks to task.
As always, the Command Staff will check Steam and the Forums frequently so let us know if you have any Questions, Ideas or need anything.
“A friend had sent me in a package a bottle of old brandy. On Christmas morning I quietly called several comrades up to my bunk to taste the precious fluid of…DISAPPOINTMENT! The bottle had been opened outside, the brandy taken and replaced with water…and sent in. I hope the Yankee who played that practical joke lived to repent it and was shot before the war ended.”

Sgt Major Valk (right) and 1st Sgt Jones model the new prototype Cobbs Legion C uniform. I'm expecting e-mails shortly from Messers Hill and Crecy concerning historical accuracy.......
