Defending the Union in a Michigan or Iowa regiment.
Defending the Union in a Michigan or Iowa regiment.
First Sergeant Joseph P. Brevett of Company B, 2nd Maryland Infantry
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne’er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition;- William Shakespeare, Henry V

What I (my RP character would do):
In my opinion it is sad that we will have war... because I love the union, but I love Virginia even more. Because of that I will follow the decision of my Friends and neighbors and I will join the army.
I will fight for my Family, for Richmond, for Virginia, for our freedom.

What I (not RP) would do:
A am an immigrant from Luxembourg. I think there were some luxembourgish immigrants in Wisconsin, Illinois and Minnesota.
So I think I would have fought for the Union.
