Gentlemen,
The UCMJ, Uniformed Code of Military Justice, that is practiced by the United States Military today did not exist in its current form. For those who may be unaware there were the
"Articles of War". We are not in the actual military and not bound by any of it...nor should we be. But I am sure that most of you will agree that if we are to portray certain historical units, we should do so with honor and integrity. In a way that would make the unit look good.
The question I pose to all of you: Does this not apply to our conduct when we represent Officer and NCO ranks as well? Is there not some sort of moral duty to attempt to conduct ourselves as such? The measure of a man is not done by the amount of words he speaks or writes but by his actual conduct on a daily basis. This goes back to my topic a few weeks ago about how we treat newcomers...or the apposing side. Thoughts?
"Art. 83. Any commissioned officer convicted before a general courts-martial of conduct unbecoming an officer and a gentleman, shall be dismissed from the service."
