    Revolution Texian

Fighting breaks out at Gonzales, as a Texian Militia repels a Mexican Force 100 strong, with the quote: Come and Take it!
Well, that is what happened, on October 2nd, 1835. Today however, is July 20th, 2016, and after almost 200 years, we still seek to know more. That is what we're here for, to develop a learning tool and game to teach people about the Texas Revolution, hence the name, Revolution Texian. For the last few months, myself and a few others have been working on a video game, that will let you re-live the era of the musket and saber. Today we are proud to announce our first report on the game, or as I call them, "Revolution News" Before I start going into to much detail on what we've been doing, let me introduce our team. I am Colton Sheffield, a Civil War reenactor with the 12th Tx Cavalry, a history buff, and a gamer. I founded the project along side my co-founder, Steven Barbee, also a reenactor with the 12th Tx, a civil war buff, and a history enthusiast. After we came up with the idea, we realized that a game is to much for 2 people to make in any reasonable amount of time, so I went recruiting for developers and team members. Our Community manager, Koby Westbrook, runs the Forum, which you can access by clicking on our "Forum" link above, he Reenacts, ironically, with the 12th Tx Infantry, studies at Baylor, and is a huge history buff. Finally, our other developer who is currently working on the first model for an in game weapon, the Brown Bess Musket, is Issac (Who still hasn't told me his last name.), he is an Arma III server host, a modding expert, and a computer enthusiast.
With our team covered, it is time to take a look at what we have been doing. Currently our focus is going into one of our main maps, called "San Antonio de Bexar" or rather, the home of the Alamo. The following images will cover what we have been doing over the last few months, ranging from modeling all the way to map design and research.

Thank you for visiting the blog, and don't forget to register on the Forums!

Revolution Texian is a game based on the Texas Revolution. It is a first person shooter utilizing Unreal Engine 4. This game would not only be to have fun but used as a teaching tool about the Texan Revolution. It is currently in it's earliest development and is seeking developers for the game, if you are interested please contact Awesome Bill from Dawesonville for more information.
