It's a game for crying out loud...
I started online gaming in 2006, playing Counter-Strike 1.6. I have to say, out of all the communities I've been a part of, this is one of the most welcoming, helpful and mature. Not sure of what you experienced, if it's just a few bad eggs or what, but I have to say based on my experience with the community, this doesn't seem to be the case.

I am guessing from his second post that people take the game to serious?
Me too. Yes, there are some serious Gamers out there. And they will be ticked that noobs mess up and sometimes take it out on them. But its just a game. Me, I have very thick skin. I'm not as young as some of these guys and my eye hand coordination isn't what it used to be. That and I've only been playing a little over a week. I listen to the commanders who sound like they know what they are doing. I learn the game. I play as a private and die more than I kill. Which is fine, there will always be someone faster or luckier than me. And there will always be accidents. Last night for example, we had a charge and I actually had a great charge for once. I got 4 Rebs and cleared out them all only to be stabbed by the teammate and killed. Was only the two of us, so I don't know did he do it on purpose or by accident? I got no apology so I'm going to say, purpose, but did I take it personally? Nope.
Come on man.
