Starting a thread for those of us who will be in or around Sharpsburg on the 155th Anniversary of the battle on September 15 - 17. I'll will be camped out around the Dunker Church from Friday until Sunday evening. I know that others mentioned that they would be stopping by at the event, just figured I would make a posting for us to iron out the details for having a "War of Rights" get-together.

Hey Duffy, thanks for making a standalone thread. Do you have any official information pertaining to the A.P. Hill march from Harper's Ferry, what time it will happen, etc, so that we can determine what would be the best time for some of us to arrive at the Dunker Church (or wherever the march will end). I'm guessing that the march would end where A.P. Hill's men were thrown at the Union left flank upon arrival? But I'm assuming.

Kyle, A.P., you guys interested in heading out there on 9/17?

DomDawg and any one else in the surrounding area, interested in heading to Sharpsburg on 9/17? Chime in to this thread!

2200 - Lights Out

Saturday September 16, 2017 - AP Hill March to Glory
0500- Morning Reveille
0545- Shuttle to Harper's Ferry National Historical Park departs from Dunker Church at Antietam National Battlefield
0615- Battalion Forms and Inspection
0630- AP HILLS MARCH TO GLORY Begins

Sunday September 17, 2017 - Antietam National Battlefield
0700 - Morning Reveille
Times Still Undetermined - Camp Life Living Histories and Two Firing Demonstrations

Not sure what time we will get there, probably just after noon if I had to guess.

I recall you or someone else mentioning that there will be periods of marching and then breaks like 50 minutes on, 10 minutes off, until you've reached Sharpsburg, is that still the plan? If so, are there people scheduled to drive ahead providing refreshments during the break times or in case of emergency?

Yep 50 minutes marching, 10 resting, and as far as I know there will be a car following behind us with water. We'll be carrying our own food in our haversacks.
