    WoR Launcher

    I think it would be a good idea now that WoR is availableon steam to have a war of rights launcher that is connected to the company tool that, so that people who are not a nco or offficer can pick officer or nco class ingame.

    Example:
    a player that is not in a company/group in wor cannot will be restricted to use the Pvt class ingame.

    a player in a claimed company on the forums with a rank will be able to as pvt and the rank you are on the company tool.

    This would make it so that people in command of actual companies will be able to be actual NCOs and officers more often making commanding easier and more authentic.
    This would also lessen the amount of "pubbers" playing as officers trying to command companies trying to play together.

    Lets try to make sure this game does not turn into Holdfast.

    This sounds good in theory, but I feel as though there are many flaws with this system. If there is a way to implement it, perhaps.

    I am pretty sure that it will not come in this way.

    From what I read so far Campfire will not restrict non-company players in any way and it makes sense.

    But It would be cool to see it connected so you can see the names your company comrades in a blue colour or something like that.

    I have a other Idea in my mind but I have to finish my exams first on Wednesday and need some time to translate it in more or less understandable English ^^

    @campfire

    Can I borrow Hinkel for some time to use him as my personal translator? :P

    Currently, the game programming, and the Company Tool programming are two entirely different codes. So as far as I know, not just a join two programs and it works, kind of thing.

    If I recall correctly, getting players who are members of companies, with rank and etc., were goals at one time, but not priority.

    Will it come? I hope so. But for now, not doable.

    I was literally talking about this to my fellow staff in the 72nd about something similar. It would be cool to restrict unassigned people and mustering companies (by linking company tool) from accessing officer and NCO to prevent people from taking the positions from good leaders who actually have units they need to lead. Also restricts trolls and incapable people from taking the classes from capable leaders. This could also give more authority to actual officers who aren't with their units and lead random people because the random people can trust that the man in the officer class leads a legitimate unit and must know somewhat what he's doing. If you're worried that someone might just form a random company and build up to 10 members just to gain access to classes then just bump it up to maybe 20. It's better than what we got right now which is letting random people hop into the positions and not understand what they're doing and at the same time closing the classes off to unit leaders who are trying to do events. I know that NCO classes have already lost their authority because random people will join them just because they don't want to be enlisted and hopefully this doesn't happen completely to the officer class as well because it already has started. We also need to bump up the amount of officers (they have all the insignias but only support one slot per unit in a battle server) but we need to get a system in to restrict the class to trusted players only first.
