    Team Balance Controls

    Why have team balance in the Alpha servers? Particularly so stringent that if it's 37-35 you can't make it 38-35?

    I never enable team balance on a server... so what if the teams are stacked? Players will unstack them within minutes 90% of the time without strict, automated oversight.

    Verdun has a nice feature: when one team has more players on map, the players recieve respawn time penalty. The bigger the disbalance, the more respawn time added.

    At the moment it is indeed very strict, unless when 1 team has many people leaving and the other team is still packed. (then teams might get very unbalanced)

    Believing players will automaticly even the balance might be more difficult since it's a bit more then just team A or team B (some people take their faction and their regiment really serious).
    Some games have a balancing system where players are moved automatic.

    Bivoj's suggestion from Verdun is a nice mechanic, Poorlaggedman I get that's its sometimes the waiting game to join a certain group/faction and that at the moment you won't get fully even teams.

    I’ve also noticed that during events, units will try to go to one side and play as a unit hut because of public players will often times have a handful of people (which in smaller units can be a big issue) forced to go to the other side. If two or more units are facing off, they will make an effort to balance the teams. It’s an annoyance that can hinder events.

    Being on a team massively outnumbering the others carries a stigma to it I have never had a serious problem getting teams to where they are supposed to be if the teams even need to be balanced on that particular map in that particular game. For some people it's a major pet peeve to have a team with a couple extra guys or just an excuse as to why their team isn't doing so well. The restriction causes way more problems than it fixes. Micromanaging that down to +/- 1 player is silly. It would help if you could see the player count of a team when you try to select it.
