Hi just pledged to the game and thought i'd take a moment to say hi.

I'm from the UK but I hope to be able to spend time with most timezones.
After i get the feel for the game i'll be looking for a Ulster Scot company to join (hence my C.S.A leaning).

Congrats on joining not only a great developing game, but a great community.

Southern Appalachian here, with much love for my Ulster Scot ancestors. Pretty new to the game myself, unsure of any dedicated Ulster Scot companies, but I'm with 8th VA Co.F. We're much smaller than many of the companies, but we have independence from the major CSA orgs like II Corps or 1st TX. We're coordinated and expect our members to adhere to the chain of command, but we can join a line with the big boys whenever necessary, or go on smaller company level only flanking maneuveres. Nothing like sneaking behind the Yankee scum while they're engaged with the main CSA forces, firing on their backs from behind concealment, then watching the chaos ensue!

We're small, about 20 now, but growing nicely since our inception a month ago, and have a couple of very active UK members, though we are US based and tend to be most active during later EST events.
Cpt. Moonman of 8thVA Co.F is our CO, so if interested, you can search for him, the company, or me, and we'll gladly get you in the thick of battle.

Once again, congrats on joining and supporting the development of a great game and community. Regardless of what company you decide to join (and you must join one to get the full experience), just make sure it's always a CSA company.

Word of warning. The way the balance system works in this production, you'll find yourself having to play under the Stars and Stripes, or not playing at all.
