    Why limit this to just the U.S. military?

    This is, after all an international site, and I am certain that there are a good number of Euro-continent soldiers worthy of praise as well.

    Yes! German Army, Guard battalion here (not active, the term "veteran" in Germany is only earned if you had/ have combat experience)
