I'm only 40 miles or so from there, I haven't decided to go yet or not.

I'll be there for sure July 2nd and 3rd. https://www.nps.gov/gett/planyourvis...nniversary.htm Probably the 6th, 7th, and 8th as well to an extent. I'll go to at least one of those reenactment days. Not sure yet. My understanding is the reenactments might be worth going to on the five year anniversaries. The off-years are kind of meh from the one I saw.

The most famous engagement of the University Greys was at Pickett's Charge during the Battle of Gettysburg, when the Confederates made a desperate frontal assault on the Union entrenchments atop Cemetery Ridge. The Greys penetrated further into the Union position than any other unit, but at the terrible cost of sustaining 100% casualties—every soldier was either killed or wounded. Well looks like your unit will all not make it off the field .
