Andersonville Prison Lithograph
My Great Great Grandfather was involved in The Battle of Plymouth, NC in 1864, he was eventually
captured on 20 April 1864, and sent to the notorious Andersonville Confederate Prison Camp.
Which he was one of the lucky one's who survived.
Before my Grandmother passed away, she is the Grand daughter of Peter Aubrey, the soldier from Co.
G 2nd Reg't. Massachusetts Heavy Artillery Vols.
My Grandmother told my Aunt about this lithograph that was rolled up down in the cellar of her
house from 1884 which was passed on to her, she passed it on to my Aunt, and now my Aunt
has passed it on to me. It's an amazing piece of dark history in the "growth" of the United States
of America. Attached to this thread is my framed copy, as well as a clearer version I was able to
find on Pintrest.
