I have seen little action with the old captain as a company, but as the new captain steps in it will be a time of victory, teamwork and courage. As i walk with my comrades into the musket fire and into the cannons i wont give up at the sound of hearing an ear piercing cry, the whistle of a cannon, the pop of the muskets. I WILL give up the battle as soon as we win, that's for sure. I cant wait to serve with you Captain. Let's get those dirty reds and drive them back to the small cracks in the ground, where they belong!

Let me be one of the first to wish you good luck in moving forward with the 8th Ohio Co. D Capt. Ogle! The 8th was a proud company and fought with honor and distinction not only at the Battle of Antietam, but over 3.5 years of the Civil War.
Regarding the War of Rights community, I do want to be clear that I am no longer associated with this company in any way, and have handed over ALL control to Capt. Ogle who will run the company as he sees fit. I have received some messages in that regard, and just wanted to clear up any confusion associated with this transition.

I clearly made the wrong choice in trusting you to run the 8th when I could no longer continue. I have no words although disappointment comes to mind.
