Two of my ancestors; Private Everett C Lassiter and Sargent Jesse B Lassiter (they were brothers) were captured at this battle.
Can anyone tell me where they would've been captured during the battle since they were taken together as POW's?

The 32nd were indeed at Spotsylvania, where they lost 15 men killed, 34 wounded, 1 mia and 226 taken prisoner. Jesse served in Companies C & D while Everett served in C. The roll number for Jesse's service record is M230 ROLL 22 while for Everett it's M230 ROLL 23. It's very unlikely you'll ever find out where at Spotsylvania they were captured (I've checked the regimental history and neither man is mentioned)

Where were the 32nd on the field?
