    Campaigns -- My Idea List

So before I get told that there's already a thread dealing with new campaign ideas, I wanted to point out that this thread is rather a series of campaign ideas I had and wanted to throw out there. Others can share their own ideas for a cool new campaign as well. Anyway, I just wanted to share some ideas I had written out for fun about new campaign ideas. Here's some gameplay modes I thought would be cool additions as well:

Siege: One side attempts to break through the fortifications of the other side and capture the objective, while also attempting to drain the manpower tickets of the enemy.

Urban Battle: Urban combat in the streets of a city / town.

Line Battle: A major line battle, mainly fought in fields, plains, hills, etc.

Fortification Assault: Unlike Sieges, which are drawn-out engagements, Fortification Assaults are direct attacks on a fortified sector of an enemy position.

Skirmish: Small, brief scenes of combat.

Great post. I, for one, can't wait for sieges. Something is just awesome to me about siege battles and I hope we can get Sumter soon, and eventually Vicksburg with the trenches and tunnels (If the game ever goes into the Western Theatre)

That's all my ideas for 1861 Campaigns. I'll post my ideas for 1862 Campaigns next.

I like the idea of sieges, howevre as the defender has such big advantages normally regarding cover and just being able to hold their grounds. I think a system on those maps whereby the balance of the teams is not 50/50 would add to the game. Maybe 60/40 split? Thus making the attackers have more numbers but a harder task.

I'd love to see a in game recreation of the siege of Petersburg 1864-1865.

Forts Sedwick, Mahone and The Crater would be awesome.

At The Crater it'd be cool if each team has to rush towards the crater and attack/defend it.

This would create very intense and fast paced firefights with a fare amount of melee.

The attacking team in WoR actually have more tickets than the defenders.

It's unlikely you'd ever see any of these, Antietam works so well because tactically it was a draw historically.
