Memory leak after a few matches!

As requested by Cpl. Ragtime to also post it here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/42403...05598713162884

"I have noticed, when i join a server after just starting the game, everything is good, smooth 60 fps, than maybe after 3 or 4 matches, the game starts to behave worse and worse, looking left and right will give me stutters like it's loading the level around me. Sometimes the game crashes completely or freezes up my PC. Restarting the game, fixes it again. This sounds like a classic memory leak."

I did not check myself yet how much memory was used, but a respond on the steam forum states they did see all their memory being used on Low!

    My system:
    Windows 10
    AMD Ryzen 7, 2700x
    AMD 580x 8 gig.
16 gig or RAM, 3500 mhz.

    EDIT:

Made a before and after video showing what was going on, both were taken in a 150 server that was completely full in all matches.

This is the first round in, perfect FPS, everything is smooth and no stutters:

Second video is after 3 matches, things are no longer smooth, allot of stutters looking left and right like everything has not loaded in correctly, the game crashed one minute after this was recorded:

Bumping this thread as it still happens, never had my FPS show so turned it on through Steam, and when i join a server, it's 60 fps, 3 matches later, it's at 30. Restarting the game is the only thing that fixes it. Also noticed that the game just uses 4 gig of ram, later on it's at 7 gig. It's odd that i get these fps drops if i got a total of 16 gig.

My Framerate has gone down in recent history and I actually dropped my graphics from Very High to High and I'm still seeing some performance issues.

Hello Sgt.Nightfire, I'm going to see if maybe we can pin point the problem. I'm a computer repair specialist and website builder by trade when I'm not working my big boy job .

It could very well be Memory leak - but the symptoms you have sound more like CPU Throttling. Have you watched the temperature reading of your CPU while you game? Also - with your Ryzen 7 CPU, what kind of cooling system do you have installed? If you play the game, and put your hand on top of your case, or at the back of your case, do you feel warmth?

In my experience with building gaming computers as well as repairing them, many users forget to have adequate air flow through the case and the cooling system is subpar. If your computer is running hot after playing a few games and it slows down, it's because your system is overheating.

Another factor is you have an AMD graphics processor. In recent years AMD has come a long way from where they used to be. HOWEVER, they could still have an issue with their CPU and Graphics card overheating - therefore it's important to have constant cool air over both items.

Can you check on these for me? You can add me on steam if you like for an easier way to communicate (steam: https://steamcommunity.com/id/theadamwest/)

Thanks for the response, but i got pc building experience for over 19 years myself so i know its not my pc. But to clarify, my pc is a new build (last May that is, still new to me), overheating is not a issue on my pc, my CPU is watercooled, (Coolermaster MasterLiquid Pro 240) and a additional of 4 case fans are in my pc, this is also the only game where this happens. If i play Kingdom Come: Deliverance, also a Crytek engine game, no issues. My graphic card, i don't even hear it when i'm playing WoR, i also checked and when i'm playing, the CPU is not even used for 27/30%.

    Interesting.
I've never experienced any memory leak with my build - but at the same time we also have different Video cards as well. I have a 1060 GTX Nvidia graphics card so again no issues on my end. Poor what system do you have?

Not going to rule out performance issues with the game (definitely worth checking out) but I'm wondering if it's related to the graphics card and the benchmarks associated with each one to include pixel shader.

look up a post or two where you can see my system, i also sometimes get a random crash, maybe sometimes the game can continue without crashing but get's this strange performance issue. I will add a crash log from the latest crash:

I had saw your requirements - I was asking about Poor's specifications (he had posted below you, and was experiencing issues the same as you).

Have you verified the integrity of your game files yet for War of Rights? You may have to re-install the game and see if this fixes your game crash, haven't experienced any issues with crashing the game except with the minor small screen that appears as the game is exiting, but developers already know about this.

I completely reinstalled it actually, because i had to reset my windows, so we can add that to list, reinstalled windows, reinstalled steam + game and fresh new drivers.

Sounds like a bad memory simm to me. I've not heard of too many others experiencing this "behavior".

And while you doubt it is your system, I'm suggesting it is. If you exhibit certain experiences others don't then it is a pointer that it is local as opposed to programming. I.e. CFG is not responsible.

Your attempt at comparison of other games is also incorrect.

Those others are finished games and proven, plus they incorporate older engine softwares. Since CFG is using current engine technology, it's more apt to show previous undisclosed ssystem problems.

There are several ways to test your ram, I suggest you find one that suits you and test.

Personally, myself, I detest AMD of any type. When they got their start, they were buying failed Intel processors and selling as new with the stipulations that the buyer acknowledge he was buying damaged goods as new, which is why AMD is and always will be cheap.
