Add a Linear Scale Line to the Map Descriptions

A common problem I notice is that players tend to overestimate distance in the game. Adding a linear scale line to the map graphics will give players a better idea of distance and soften the learning curve for new players.

    Thoughts?

This is a nice idea, simple and rather easy to fix in!

I presume you mean the overhead map and not another in-game icon of some sort.

Yes, the map you see when you load in, when you first spawn, or when you press F2.

a yard ruler up the side perhaps showing the mile marker too? incriments of 100 yards.
would certainly help people ranging weapons, at the moment it's difficult to understand distance in game.

    Basically, something like this:

    |______|______|__________________|________________ ______________|
    ..........50.....100 yds...................250......................... .....................500

As a graphic stuck on each map, scaled up or down depending on the size of the map. On Hooker's Push, for example, it would be proportionately small since it's a large map, but on a smaller map such as the Cornfield, it would scale to a larger size, since it's zoomed in a lot more.

Where it's placed on the map isn't an issue for me; if the Devs decide to implement it, I'm sure they'll find a good spot on a map-by-map basis.

P.S. sorry for any formatting issues, it's a PITA on a phone.

na that looks good, i'd suggest we include 300 and 500 seeing as they're the flip ups on the leaf sights for most rifles but yeah that'd work well.

    Only downside I see ...
when the skim maps are added together to form the campaign map all these skirm scales will disappear and a new one will have to be made for the new larger map.
I would not like to be on the team who does all this work that, basically, disappears once the campaign map comes into being.
Love the idea though ... perhaps test it out on the Drill Camps, first?
